The World Through a Child's Eyes
Jun 19, 2026 2 months agoHave you ever looked into the beautiful, pure, and innocent eyes of a child? If you have, then perhaps you are one of the happiest people in the world. There is something truly amazing about the way children look at us. Their eyes are full of curiosity, trust, and wonder. Let me tell you a story that happened on a train a few days ago. My family and I were returning from the city to our village. The train was beautiful. The curtains were decorated with traditional Uzbek patterns, and the atmosphere felt warm and peaceful. After a while, a very young woman entered the carriage carrying a baby in her arms. In my country, it is quite common to see young mothers with their children. Such a sight often attracts people's attention. But let us return to the main story. When I looked into the child's eyes, I suddenly began to think about the world more deeply. After all, one day we will no longer be children, yet the shape of our eyes will remain almost the same. The little baby smiled at me, and everything around her seemed fascinating and new. I started thinking about how a person can change over time—their character, their attitudes, and their relationships with others. Things that once interested us deeply may one day lose all meaning. Our dreams change, our priorities change, and sometimes even our way of looking at the world changes. Yet there was something profound in those eyes. They were full of sincerity, curiosity, and trust. Looking at them, I felt as if I were seeing the world as it truly is—without prejudice, fear, or disappointment. As we all know, eyes can reveal what words often hide. Through them, we can sense honesty, kindness, sadness, or joy. Perhaps that is why there is something magical about eyes. They tell stories that no voice can tell. The train continued its journey, and after some time the young mother left the carriage with her baby. The memory of those eyes stayed with me for a long time. I looked out of the window and watched the fields, the roads, and the mountains pass by. Everything seemed ordinary, yet somehow it looked different to me. That child reminded me of something many adults forget: the ability to be amazed by simple, little things. We spend years growing up, gaining experience, and worrying about the future. In doing so, we often lose the curiosity that once made the world seem like a place full of miracles. We stop asking questions. We stop noticing details. As the train moved forward, I smiled to myself. For a moment, through the eyes of a child, I had seen the world again. And it was beautiful.
