Unexpected happiness
Jun 29, 2024 5 months agoOnce, there was a girl named Lizzy who had been so naughty and carefree since childhood. During that time, she has always been sharp-witted, brave, and open-minded, which has amazed everyone. Because she only said what she wanted and expressed her feelings so clearly. She had an almost perfect family, though they weren't rich. Her grandparents are Mister and Missis Thompsons, her mother Scarlet, her father Joseph, and her little sister Lilly. At first, everything was truly perfect, and they were so happy. But when Lizzy was 11 years old, her family was broken. Mister and Missis Thompson couldn't get along with Scarlet due to her selfish and stubborn personality. Day by day, their fights started to get even more serious, causing Lizzy, her parents, and siblings to move into another apartment and leave their grandparents alone. Lizzy has always been into literature and math. She enjoyed her studies in primary school. Then she wanted to get into a specialized school for literature and become a writer. However, due to her family's influence, she applied to music school and started to learn to play the piano. All her pain and difficulties started from that time. Even if they started living in another house, her family's issues didn't stop. Because her mother was still not satisfied with their income and was always after money. Lizzy's parents often fought over little things, which made her and Lily worried. Although Lizzy wasn't spending much time with her family and always lived in a school dormitory, she was deeply depressed and always cried alone. Since her sister Lily was so quiet and introverted, she didn't talk with her older sister and parents so often. She always did her stuff and rarely talked with anyone else. Lizzy was worried that Lily could be affected by their parent's fights and get stressed. Lily was 5 years younger than Lizzy and spent most of her time at home. Lizzy always felt like she was carrying a huge responsibility on her shoulders. She became too quiet and lost her self-confidence. The only thing she wanted to do was just to play the piano to relieve her pain and stress. After some time, her test results and grades gradually dropped, and she became confused. She always thought about why her mother was like that. One day she wrote a poem, put all her pains in it, but threw it away. After that, she felt much better. Because she had none to talk about her parents. She could only forget her home when she spent more time with her friends. After 2 days, Lizzy's teacher asked her to meet after the class. She only guessed that it might be because her grades were so low compared to the past. Then she went to the teacher's room and her teacher Miss Brown came out to talk with her and asked whether this poem was written by Lizzy or not. When Lizzy read the poem, she recognized it. She admitted that she wrote it. Then she learned that when cleaners found it, they quite liked it and gave it to Miss Brown by chance. Miss Brown recognized the handwriting and suspected that it might be Lizzy's. The teacher said that she liked Lizzy's poem. She was moved by this poem's deep meaning and severe pain. Miss Brown suggested Lizzy to write more poems and participate in writing competitions. Lizzy didn't want to participate. But her teacher applied for the Young Writers Competition on behalf of Lizzy and submitted that poem. After several days, the result of that competition was announced. Then Lizzy heard that she won first place and got a prize. After that event, Lizzy almost came back to life and started to have goals and dreams. Her teachers and friends helped to improve her academic performance. Within 2–3 months, her first book was published and became popular. Lizzy not only became a young author of popular book but was also known for being a dazzling piano player. Her book's sales rocketed, giving her so much profit. Her family's overall income increased, but those fights didn't stop. No matter how well Lizzy and Lily behaved, her mother never cared for them. Mister Joseph always worked hard until midnight, while Missis Scarlet couldn't stop herself from going out with her friends and spending money on unnecessary things. Although Mister Joseph was a tolerant and hard-working person, her wife was nothing like him. One day Lily had a car accident when she was going to school and was hospitalized. She was seriously injured and stayed unconscious for several months. Both Lizzy's parents and she were worried. Even Missis Scarlet's ice heart melted, and she felt guilty. Finally, after 1 year of treatment in the hospital, Lily got better and came back to her house. Missis Scarlet started to be more gentle and considerate towards her daughters and learned to be more grateful for what she had. Then Mr. Joseph was promoted to another job that paid a higher salary. Their family started to live happily, and every one of them found their path and goals in their life.
