Sights Unseen

Friday Sept 11, 9:11 pm. I just looked at some photos I took earlier, curious if I'd successfully captured any stars. It's really smokey outside! Not only is there smoke from local fires, but there's also smoke blowing in from off the coast which has moved up the coast from California. Double whammy! With all this smoke in the air I have been wearing an N95 mask when I venture outside. But it is recommended that people remain indoors with a good Hepa air filter if possible. Especially those of us, who like myself have breathing issues. The air quality has been labeled as hazardous. I have noticed that though I'm breathing reasonably well with the mask, I experience burning sensations in my eyes from the smoke. I digress, to get back to my starting point, though there were no clouds to block out the stars, there was enough smoke to reduce visibility drastically! There should be close to 60 stars in this photo, but due to the smoke there's just a small number. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
