My Quarantine Life

My Quarantine Life Quarantine life, where should I start. At the beginning right? I have five siblings-three brothers and two sisters, and two parents. (So you can imagine how busy my house can be) I am the oldest sibling of the girls. I first learned about Covid-19 from my younger siblings. They had come home from school one day saying that their school might be closing because of some virus going around. At the time I didn't think it was serious, so I was hearing what my siblings had to say but I wasn't listening. (Basically going in one ear and coming out of the other) Then a couple of days later, the news was also talking about this virus, so I decided to inform myself about this “virus” going around and when I learned that people were actually dying because of it, I started taking it a lot more serious. Now when I say taking it more seriously, I mean washing my hands every time I go out, staying six feet away from others, and wearing a mask in public. After a week of this virus, I finally knew what it was called because of a video on YouTube that went viral. This virus was called the coronavirus or Covid-19. When quarantine happened and things started closing down, such as the airport, and people businesses, I started getting worried because my mom worked at the airport. A couple days into quarantine and we-my family, learned that my mom was going to be out of work soon. So only my dad would be working. Eventually my mom lost her job and my siblings didn't have any more school, so now there's just a lot of people at home. Noisy people. I know Covid-19 hasn't really affected me as much as it has affected a lot of people. I'm homeschooled and don't really go outside, unless it's to play basketball, so normally I'm in the house. I will say that it has affected the people around me a lot more. My routine now consists of waking up, then I go outside to jump rope for half an hour, then showering. After showering I eat, and then either I draw, write, or watch a movie with my family. Afterwards I go outside to play basketball and then stretch. And after that I watch Netflix until I fall asleep. I will say that quarantine has gotten me to take my writing, and drawing a lot more seriously. We still celebrate the holidays, like recently I had a birthday on the 6th of July, but we always celebrate it on the 4th of July. Just now because of Covid-19 there are smaller gatherings. Covid-19 also has me reevaluating things, such as what I want to do when I get older. Now it's between being a writer, artist, dancer, model, or basketball player. Writing definitely helps me organize my thoughts and keeps my mind sharp while school is out. I know there's a lot of people going through difficult times right now so my advice to you is to look forward and not behind.
