EPS is growing bigger. When the podcast first started, it was just a podcast about streetball and now there is more. It's latest episode is about the UFC (Daiju Takase escape Emmanuel Yarbrough). More categories for sports are being added for the sports show. If you would like to check out the EPS podcast, you are welcome to do so. https://www.spreaker.com/show/eps-streetball
Entertainment Podcasting Sports (EPS) is a podcast about streetball and more. I started the podcast with streetball stories because when I saw the show AND 1 Mixtape Tour, the streetball players were exciting and amazing to me. AND1 Mixtape Tour is a traveling basketball competition. It was my first time seeing streetball on television. The streetball players looked as if they were playing more freely on the outdoor court than on the indoor court of the NBA. It looked like a whole complete and different and more exciting game. I saw the players and more of their talent. I saw their talent more than I would have if they had been playing on the NBA court; playing by the rules of the NBA game. So why didn't I just name the podcast Streetball? Well, I did at first, but I knew that I would run into a variety of history about talented people in sports. I find some athletic people have the ability to play different sports. If you would like to hear the show EPS, go to https://www.spreaker.com/show/eps-streetball
There are street legends unheard of. There are legends not known waiting to be recognized. You may be that legend waiting to become a legend like Dr. J. His real name is Julius Erving. Dr. J could take a ball out of the air, and he would dunk it. Because of how well he played, people tried to name him all kind of names. The Claw, Black Moses, and Houdini. He said, “…. if they wanted to call me anything, call me Dr.” It is said that people would watch Dr. J play all up on the roof. He drew the greatest crowd in the history of the Rucker pro league. People were up in the trees sitting on branches. It is said that people could not see enough of the game. People would be up on the bridges. Dr. J at Harlem famed Rucker park. That is where the legend of Dr. J started. The young crowd may not know about Dr. J. He could hang in the air a long time and extend his long right arm under the left part of the basket and make the shot. If you're a young player playing basketball listening to my podcast; if you desire to be the greatest in basketball, watch some old films and clips of Dr. J playing basketball. He had moves like no other player, and you'll see how other players may have been inspired by him that you might have heard of. Regarded as one of the greatest and most influential basketball players of all time and the greatest ABA player of all time, Erving helped legitimize the American Basketball Association (ABA) and was the best-known player in that league when it merged into the National Basketball Association (NBA) after the 1975–76 season. Erving won three championships, four Most Valuable Player Awards, and three scoring titles with the ABA's Virginia Squires and New York Nets (now the NBA's Brooklyn Nets) and the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers. He was well known for slam dunking from the free throw line in slam dunk contests. Julius known as Dr. J said, “It's still a kids game and you have to approach it as you did when you were a kid. Some days you wake up and your body hurt. Do what you do best for as long as you can.” Dr. J is one of the greatest basketball player, and you could be next. How often do you hear about street basketball? We see college basketball and NBA on television, but we don't see street ball shows. Kevin Durant, an NBA star had a Harlem crowd excited in street basketball. It looks more exciting on outdoor courts. The street players seem free to show off their own skills. The rules seem to be different in street basketball. Since we have so many reality shows, it would be nice to have a street ball show for television. People love sports, and a street baskeball show would fit right in for television. Seeing Kevin Durant excite so many people, I think it would be interesting to have a street ball show. https://www.spreaker.com/user/gnaudio/street-basketball

Sometimes we must trust other people, otherwise we should do everything by ourselves, and life will be very difficult... We must understand that other people do have their abilities and qualities , sometimes much more than we have... They were working in the laboratory as usual, she was busy ,so she couldn't begin with them, after that she joined them, but there was something wrong with the experiment, so the result wasn't as it ought to be, she proposed that they could repeat the experiment...And she was so astonished when she heard them accusing her of having no confidence in them ,and of her insistence to do everything by herself... At the end they repeated the experiment, because there was no other choice, and they discovered that they had really done a mistake... Everything went well for her, but she had never forgotten that lesson .

The spring was a whirl of ruin: a virus spoiled the entire world's circuits of air; the grainy pictures of plastic-wrapped bodies being loaded into refrigerated trucks flashed across televised broadcasts; garbling politicians traded refrains of speculation; and regardless of whether I drew a 6-iron or 9-iron from my bag, my swing lobbed the golf ball a weak 75-yards. “Dammit,” I hissed, slinging the recalcitrant club to the side and slapping the dirt off of my shins. It was an issue with the clubface, you see. For some reason my arms were compelled to rotate clockwise whenever they were on the move, thereby circling my palms forward and twisting the face of my irons. The wobbled habit reduced my club to a tool that slapped to the right instead of one that punched straight ahead. After I wiped a few streaks of sweat from my brow, I rummaged the range bucket for another ball, and rearranged my feet to try again. Suddenly I struggled with the memory of my last phone call with Naomi. She was scratching her way out of a sinking pit of obsessions and compulsions, and I somehow failed to supply sufficient relief. At that point, I still hadn't figured out what she could expect and— I noticed the ball needs to be more centered under my stance. Once the swing reaches the point of impact, the clubface should drag into the ground to carve a divot and make the most of the swing's acceleration. I might've been overthinking things. “Don't,” I imagined Eric saying. “It's not brain surgery. It's a natural, athletic motion. Loosen up,” I thought he would've added, churning my shoulders with a chuckle. It had been a long while since we spoke. He needed more room to adapt to the new year's shifting ground, and at the same time, I could not make myself any smaller of a piece for play. Ellen never did return my call from the other day. I was still waiting to hear back from Preston. Everyone was busy with doing all the nothing, I thought, and I pushed down a wrenching realization of it having been months since another person folded me into an embrace or since I felt a nudge after a good joke. I rolled my shoulders away from my ears, eased into my back swing, and struck the ball. There's a blend of a click and a rustle when the club hits square, and it should feel like it takes hardly any effort to peel the ball down its path. I wondered then whether or not I would be able to keep the dense space between myself and someone I cared for, should they become infected with coronavirus. The probability of such a dark hypothetical didn't seem comfortably low. I considered what it would be like to have a kaleidoscopic turn of governance; if one president and a few senators were swapped out for others would do the trick. Or, was it too late? Does the sky keep falling into a heap of frail developments, brittle pages of legislation, thin facades of movement? I stopped scooping shovelfuls of outcomes once I felt submerged in a grave. It was easier to concentrate on the angle of my wrist, the fluidity of my swing progression, the flight of the golf ball. That takes up hours of the mental labor I'm able to clock in on any given day. That's hours not spent watching footage of a single mom, escorting her children out of the apartment from which they were evicted. That's hours I avoided the pinched expressions of peaceful protestors dashing away from the heavily bundled officers throwing clouds of teargas and firing rows of rubber bullets. Before I started playing golf, I used to puzzle over how so many boyfriends dissolved on Sunday afternoons. “What'dyou talk about out there?” a leery spouse might ask, to which the golfer gives a rounded, perplexed expression. There's no pause for talking when the calculations of every stroke clutter the head. At most, while waiting for the group ahead to clear the green, there might be an exchange of cautious observations. A headline, proceeded by a cursory judgment, and once that's shared, you need to dig into your pocket for a new tee. “More cases sprouting in Texas? That's not good. No sirree. Not sure how the governor'll respond.—Yeah, you go on ahead and tee off.” Golf courses are littered with meandering bodies, clicking and thumping the tapping their balls into one hole, then another. They're there to duck for cover out in the open. When I enroll to join that sort of stupor, my world is free to crumble beneath my feet without hot worry, and without my even noticing, I'm free to drift away in a hollow place, to fade.
The lockdown has opened my eyes to many things. As a writer, before the enforcement of lockdown nationwide in my country, I had a lot to write about, because I was always going out, seeing new things, witnessing so many interesting things, and enjoying myself. When the lockdown started, it was like a living hell for me, because in normal circumstances, I'm the type of person that will prefer to go a long way to see my friend and talk rather than just sit down at home and talk with my neighbors. Two weeks into the lockdown, I was already feeling homesick, all I did most times was to wake up, take my phone look for writing opportunities online, chat my friends up, sleep, and eat. It got to a time that even writing became a problem for me, I was just seeing the same thing every day, which was beginning to make me sick. One month passed, and there was still total lockdown, I had no choice than to start mingling with my neighbors, starting to know them better. Fortunately for me, one of the children who were my mate was also a writer, and I always enjoyed talking to him, we could rub minds together. Soon enough, I began to see so many things I could write about, but the laziness that I had allowed to enter me hindered me, I kept on postponing my writing plans. This neighbor of mine noticed my not writing, and forcefully asked me to pick a date when we can write together so that I don't get the opportunity to postpone again. So, I picked a date, we met at his house, and then we chose what to write on, I was hoping to be the best writer in my area. I picked my pen to write, and then boom, I went blank, I thought of what to write, but it still was not coming, wow, I was stuck and shocked, because I felt I could just pick up writing just like I dropped it, but wow, it shocked me. My neighbor and I then started to write more frequently, any little happening within the environment, no matter how minute it might be or look we would turn into a writing challenge. We began dusting our pens and books, writing articles, poems, stories; narrative, descriptive, any type, and form of writing. We went online, took courses that could help our writing ability, and help us improve it. Then we began calling our friends that we used to write together, to help them as well so that we won't all forget and relent on our writing skills, we began passing writing competitions to ourselves, at least if we could not reach the qualifying stages for some of those competitions, at least we tried our best and wrote what we felt was our best. Then came my mom's birthday, we all planned to bake a cake, the female among us helped us bake it, then somehow, some of my friends smuggled themselves to my house that day to celebrate my mom's birthday, it was really fun, and as usual, we converted into a very fine and interesting story. After about two months of doing our writing exercise, the lockdown was eased in my country, we were able to move out on weekdays but refrain on weekends. We were really happy at this new development, we started planning big, we were moving from house to house together, writing with our friends, my neighbors' friends became my friends, and my friends too became his friends. At times, we would go to a friend's house on Friday, and come back on Monday. Of course, we were not only writing throughout, especially weekends, we would play games as well, football games on a laptop, combat games as well, we even contributed money to buy good games that we could all play together with, but at the same time, our burning for writing did not die down. Then came the day for the senior sister of my neighbor to tie the knot, and get married. We were very excited because one, she was very understanding, and we always enjoyed her company, we were more like her very own best younger ones. Secondly, we were going to eat a lot, without anybody disturbing us, oh my goodness, and finally, another story to write on. We all loved her, so we helped her with the preparations for the party. We were all sad that she was leaving actually because that meant that we won't be having anybody to disturb again, but we were mostly guys, so just to form the big boy impression, we could not cry, we just kept on doing all we could do to help her smooth transitioning into her husband's house. The wedding day came, she allowed us to seat in front like we were all her ex-boyfriends. I was really happy, and made the best use of that day, because that was my first official outing to a party, in months, it was like I just broke out of prison, it was really fun that day, we all planned that we will write about our experiences before that day was over, but trust me, we all slept like logs of wood, we could not write anything until the next day, and we wrote a lot on the next day. I doubt if I will ever forget that party. My lockdown experience was more of a neighbor helping neighbor experience.
Everyone now wants to return to life in their homeland and go to work and study as soon as possible. It is well known that there are no states, cities or villages left in the whole world where Covid-19 has not entered. It remains a mystery to us when and how the virus, which has spread around the world, will disappear. Scientists around the world have conducted various experiments in laboratories, but have not found a vaccine or drug against the virus.Covid-19 was first launched in Wuhan, China and than quickly spread all over the world. Quarantine has been declared in many countries. I am a citizen of Uzbekistan. Quarantine rules has been introduced in Uzbekistan, as well as in other countries around the world. Due to quarantine, there have been crises in many areas of the world and in our country, and the number of unemployed has increased. Thousands, millions of ancient cities, tourist attractions, hotels and streets were deserted. But the cruel virus was spreading in the streets without these people. The number of people infected and killed by the virus in the world has exceeded thousands. It is known that Covid-19 is transmitted from person to person. Hospitals are overcrowded with patients and cemeteries are overcrowded dies the large number of people who do not comply with quarantine. And this Covid-19, which covers the world, is still spreading. I think it would not be a mistake to say that 2020 is the year of Covid-19. This is a terrible biological war in the world wars. The heroes of the day are doctors and soldiers who work hard in this war and risk their lives. Due to quarantine, my respect for the owners of this profession has increased. Because while we were at home, doctors risked their lives in hospitals to treat patients, and our soldiers are still on the border, on the streets, serving us, for the Motherland. They are patiently serving our country, away from family members and children. Just as the war did not end in casualties, so did doctors, infected with the virus and wounded soldiers. Well, who do you think is suffering the most in this war. The state? Or patients who inadvertently become infected with the virus. You mean the state? No, mistake, states can release all industries after a certain period of quarantine. But what about patients? Thousands of people died because of Covid- 19. Scientists estimate that the symptoms of the disease will remain in the bodies of those who recover, but will end in death. Therefore, dear compatriots, do not go out unnecessarily, follow the rules of quarantine and hygiene. Take care of your own health. As I said, I am from the Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan. I am a student of Jizzakh state Pedagogical Institute. Institutes, universities and schools were closed after the quarantine was declared in our country. My family and I stayed at home. Because of quarantine, many parents spent time with their children. We also spent a lot of time with our family. But all over the world, as in other families, we have experienced a financial crisis for some time. I want to write to you about the difficult days we went through in quarantine. Due to quarantine, my father was unemployed for some time. My mother is nurse. Our income was my mother's salary, me and my brother's scholarship. Only my mother worked, went out. Roads were closed due to quarantine, and when the traffic stopped my mother walked home from work. Sometimes she was very tired. We bought only what we needed for a living. Thankfully, those days passed, the quarantine, was a little easier, and my dad started working. Gradually everything returned to normal. I also completed my distance learning classes with excellent grades. Now I sew, read books and bake sweets in my free time. I really want to win this essay competition because I will be a great help to our family during the quarantine period. I thank Alloh, who created me every morning, for waking me up healthy. But Covid-19 is still spreading rapidly. The quarantine is not over, it si unknown when it will end. The only thing we are asked of people is to follow the rules of quarantine and hygiene, wear masks and gloves and not go out unnecessarily. Take care of your own health.
By: Ymir clark One of the major problem's youth face in the twenty first century is the youth thinking they aren't good enough when they have not had the chance to fully blossom into the amazing person they will become. I saw this video where a little black girl looked into the mirror and said that she was ugly, and eventually broke down and started crying. The little girl's mom started telling her that she is beautiful and that she should not think like that and the mom started crying too because her child was having these thoughts that she should not even be thinking about. This is a major problem because no kid should even have the thoughts that they are ugly and that they don't deserve to be here. I don't want any kid to feel the way that girl felt, but sadly many kids do, and they eventually grow up with those insecurities, causing them to have anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, and so on. This one problem can easily turn into so many other problems. Kids should be playing outside, enjoying life, messing up their hair that was just done this morning, instead of feeling these insecurities. A way I would stop kids from thinking they aren't good enough would be to just get out in the community and help. I would open little free libraries and fill them with books that empower children and tell them how beautiful and unique they are. Books that tell kids and the youth that it is okay to not look like everyone else, that it is okay to be different In the little free libraries people can switch out books and put new books in as they go. The little free libraries would be set up in parks or other places where kids are a lot to ensure that the kids have easy access. This is just one of my plans, I would also start a club that that would be free to helps kids get active, where I would help lead the kids in different fun actives. I could also help kids who aren't feeling like their selves by bringing awareness to this problem by starting a campaign about how kids should love themselves, and bring awareness to the fact that sometimes people can't help the way they feel about their selves, and that depression and anxiety is real. If someone is telling you that they aren't feeling well, then they shouldn't be ignored and they shouldn't feel ashamed or be shamed for having the confidence to realize that they need help. So many that are part of the youth don't speak out about the problems they have. They feel as if the cant talk to people or their parents, because that's what they are taught to do, not speak out when they have a problem, or they try to ask for help and people try to make it seem as if they aren't having real problems and then they push their feeling down and start to disconnect from the world In conclusion kids, teens, or the youth thinking they aren't good enough and that they should hide their feelings is a major problem in the twenty first century. Kids should never feel the way that little black girl felt. Kids should be out hanging with friends or on the playground, not worried about the way they look.
When I was little, I always dreamed of being a rock star ever since Hannah Montana came out from Disney. Every time the opening plays, I would always be on top of the bed and singing and dancing along while using the remote as a microphone. Sometimes my mother would even scold me for jumping on the bed. Though as I got older, I realized I cannot be a rock star since I was not that musically involved as Hannah was nor did I even have the voice to be one. Then when I was in sixth grade, my English teacher noticed that I was quite good in writing, so she encouraged me to join the school paper in which I did. There, I discovered my talent in journalism something that I did not know I possess. It also happens to be that I was chosen to be a part of a contest, the annual Division of Schools Press Conference, a contest that I had no idea was going to be huge and I was assigned to the Sports writing event. My coach for that event would be no other than our principal himself, a wise man that many people including students and teachers alike respect. To be trained under his wing was an honor because despite the small amount of time I had training under him, I learned a lot from him. When I arrived on the venue, I was surprised at the number of contestants. I felt like I was swimming in an ocean of sharks, but I was not going to let these ‘sharks' intimidate me. After witnessing the live sports event that we were going to cover, I had taken the necessary information needed for my article and proceeded to the room where we will have an hour to formulate an article. I applied everything my coach taught me and submitted my article written in the official paper. The results were to be announced later that day and I did not know what to expect, I did not whether I would win or not, but I thought to myself that someone like me would not stand a chance against those seasoned contestants. But the unbelievable happened, my name was called to come up on stage, a surge of joy and pride ran through my veins. The feeling was foreign to me, but I could not help but smile as I received my medal and certificate, who thought that someone like me who lacks experience would win 2nd place? I was so mind blown that it took a moment for me to register that I would be going to Camiguin for the Regionals. From then on, I became confident with my writing skills and continued to expound my vocabulary by reading articles, books, stories and any reading material I could find. Though as time went by, I realized that as much as I love writing, I did not enjoy it. So, as I continue to find my dream, to find what I really want to become in the future, I let my mind wander by watching films. That is when it hit me, filming and theater arts are the things that I am most passionate about which would explain why I would have the urge to re-enact the most intense scenes of my favorite actors in my own bedroom as a kid. Why I would spend hours back then impersonating people and experimenting on my facial expressions and imitate various accents. The reason why I would be in awe every time an actor has wonderfully delivered and embodied their character, as I pay close attention to detail and dialogue as well as search for any sort of symbolism in movies. It was something that I enjoy. It was something that I look forward in doing soon and as young as I am now, I want to practice it as early as possible. I already have experience in both video and photo editing, my photo capturing has also gotten better and I intend on joining as many workshops as I could that would enhance my potential and my passion in film making grow stronger. There is only one problem that might hinder me from pursuing my dream and that is my family. Mainly because film schools are pricey and as much as I want to pursue it, I do not want to financially burden my family. Also, the last time I opened up to them something similar like theater arts, they were not quite convinced. Even my grandfather was not into the idea of me starring in films because he does not find it practical compared to courses let's say nursing. I admit that broke my heart a little but just because they are not in favor of the idea does not mean I am going to stop myself from pursuing it. Which is why I find ways to enter in different academic institutions that offers courses of my interest by looking up and planning to apply for scholarships. I may still have one more year to worry about it since I am still in Grade 11, but I just want to tell that whoever is reading this, whoever you are, that do not stop dreaming. Pursue it if that is what you truly want. I once read a quote from my school's computer laboratory in which it said, “Allow your passion to become your purpose, and it will one day become your profession.” It was a statement that struck me so much that it has instilled itself in my own mind and has become my motivation in life. Because I know one day, we will all achieve it no matter what.
Playing volleyball has always been a hobby that I love. I never expected to be where I am today by what used to be just a fun past time. I had to remember through all this that one can accomplish anything if they believe in their self. It all started the August before my freshman year in high school. On one average Tuesday morning, I found out one piece of information that would change the course of my life. First, I walked into the main gym, at Boswell High School, and quickly noticed that all the varsity girls swiftly glancing at me then quickly turning away. At that very moment I knew something was off, although I was scared, I kept going on with the day. Then, the tryouts began. Usually, there are three courts, one for varsity, one for JV, and one for freshman. Out of habit I began to walk to the west gym where the freshman usually were. Suddenly, a loud voice screeched “Caitlyn, come over here!” I quickly jogged over to the coach and he told me “Toady you will be with my varsity team.” As terrified as I was, I replied with a simple “Yes, coach.” As I walked over to the varsity court, I heard 12 other voices fill the room. As the drill began, I felt as if one thousand butterflies flew into my stomach. You could even say that one could feel the tension from a mile away. “She can't hang with us”, “Why is that freshman here?”, were the statements that were filling the air. Suddenly, the drill was underway. After an hour went by the tryout was finally over. Finally, right before I went to change and go home, a familiar voice called my name once again. The next seven words that were said changed the course of my life. Coach Lopez had offered me a spot on the varsity volleyball team. This had been my dream for years, and it had finally come true. I had finally realized that all of this wasn't just about a game, it was about how people are always going to try to push you down, but you just must get back up and preserver though the negative people that stand in your way. Overall this is by far the most memorable moment in my life, and one of the biggest obstacles I had overcome. Although, people had doubted me, I broke through the obstacles and achieved my goal.
